**Heat It Up With Hot Hot Heat

Hot Hot Heat Elevator Review (Rating: 9/10)

The band Hot Hot Heat has always seemed to maintain a distinct and gracefully melodic sound. Their new album Elevator does not disappoint. Pop it in and you’ll find yourself on a soaring, energetic ride that doesn’t slow down.

“Running Out Of Time” is the tune to thrust you into the beginning of this original and thrilling album. Lead singer Steve Bays has a unique vibration in his voice that goes well with the head-bopping beats being played.

Hot Hot Heat makes use of piano, organs, drums, percussion, and various different guitars. The effort this band makes in combining these instruments with the talented and extraordinary voice of Steve Bays makes for heatedly stunning music that is creative and exhilarating to listen to.

Upon first listening to this CD, I found myself immediately getting into the music, enlightening myself once again to the odd, but strangely intriguing quality of Hot Hot Heat. Another enthralling song is “Goodnight, Goodnight” which pulls you in right away by its lyrical genius and mesmerizing melody. It’s one of those songs that you want to keep listening to over and over and you really DO find yourself repeating it.

With the songs on Hot Hot Heat’s album Elevator, it’s difficult to get sick of them, even after hearing them several times. The album is one that can be played many times over and after which, the impressive quality will still be lingering in your ears, only provoking you to play it once again. Elevator is definitely a success for Hot Hot Heat.

One other song that is featured on the CD is called “Middle of Nowhere.” Paced a bit slower than some of the other songs, it still maintains that quality of entrancement. It’s the kind of music that you can just picture yourself listening to anywhere, anytime, perhaps while taking a stroll on a beautifully warm summer day.

Hot Hot Heat proves that they ARE a hot new sound with the release of Elevator. This album in particular is a giant piece of gold that doesn’t fail to provide good entertainment, and the flow of a one-of-a-kind sort of music.

So go pick up the album and give it a try, whether or not you’ve heard anything of the band before. Even if you’re not a fan of Hot Hot Heat, turn to this album for another chance.
