In You recently published edition of Generation;

I find the article called ‘’Outsiders’’ very offensive.

The article was written in very high school format. It seemed like she didn’t have any research on this ‘’Turks.’’ I didn’t think the article had a theme. If this was a ‘’study’ she should made better research with these Turkish boys or interview them first then write about them. I find her very CLUELESS and IGNORANT!!!

She was not just putting these Turkish boys down. She was talking about the whole country that she has no idea about. Discriminating Turkey as a whole! When I was reading the article I can tell she had no idea about other cultures and nothing except America.

Im disappointed to Generation also. Generation shouldn’t have post articles like this. I understand everyone has opinions and point of view about others. It just that this article is not supported by actual facts. I found Wright’s article unprofessional. Generation should have not have writers like Marina Wright. She should face consequences. As a Turkish community of University at Buffalo; WE ARE EXPECTING A APOLOGY LETTER FROM HER!!!

Dear Reader,

Your concerns are legitimate, and I understand your frustration at the way other cultures can be perceived in the United States. Please understand, however, that the fictional piece entitled "Outsiders: A Study" was intended to satirize the problem, and shed light on the perception of international or immigrant students on campus. It was certainly not intended to mock another culture, nor offend a critical portion of our readership.

I personally make sure Generation's Literary section is both ethically sensitive and compositionally interesting. We have published stories and poems on subjects ranging from sexual discrimination, homophobia, and antisemitism, to short stories on love, drug use, and science fiction themes. I am proud of our diversity of subject matter, and should you explore past and future issues, I trust you will find them thought- provoking as well.

We at Generation believe literature can call attention to problems of bias and prejudice, and, by focusing in on them, incite readers to question the way they think about the "other" in an effort to create change.

I thank you for taking the time to address these issues, which are significant and should be treated with the utmost respect and sincerity, and I encourage you to continue reading the magazine.

I am sure you will find our news features to be relevant, our Pulse reviews intriguing, and our stories and poems creative expressions of the social and political problems challenging college students today.

Sincerely,
Marina Blitshteyn
Literary Editor

Dear Riddler,

After an exhausting hour of complex code breaking and detailed algorithms, I was unable to solve your mystery. What are you?!?!?
