Dear Generation,

There are two things that I will always defend to the death; Buffalo and good food. As a Buffalo native, I have so much affection for this city that I often forget that it isn’t really mine to own. As a food enthusiast, I can never spend enough time or money on food. So, I must comment on the article by Tori Burhans in Pulse about Duo.

I was more than excited to find a real article about Duo’s food. I never go to a restaurant in the first few months, just to make sure that I give them enough time to find their identity and get a great meal. This doesn’t stop me, however, from scouring for information about the new restaurants in the city. All the articles up to this point have been about the décor and atmosphere of Duo, so to finally find something about food was great. After the first paragraph, my jaw dropped. “Duo is a rare find in Buffalo’s culinary repertoire of wings and beef on weck.” WHAT?! Yes, we love our wings, and no, I will never pass up a good beef on weck, but are we really insinuating that Buffalo is only known for these items? Allow me to list a few other ideas, outside of Anchor Bar and Anderson’s: Tempo, Sea Bar, Oliver’s, Hutch’s, Mother’s, Lagniappes, Fat Bob’s, Fiama, Left Bank, Shango, Nektar, Butterwood, Off the Wall, Papaya, India Gate, Pearl Street Grill, Chocolate Bar, Siagon Café, Kuni’s, Kibarashi, Toro and many more.

I can list tons of reasons why these restaurants are amazing and I suggest everyone take the time to try them out.

Sincerely,

Ms. Meheran,

Please enjoy Pulse Editor Elina Vaysbeyn’s review of Left Bank on page 17. It was pretty okay, she says.

Happy Trails,

Dear Generation,

I am not quite sure where you did your research for the article on The Mystery of Pigman Road, but it is fiction.  I have listed the false items for you.

-Holland Road is NOT a one-way street

-The train wreck of 1867 happened on the other side of town, not on Holland Road.

-Supernatural activity does not happen on this road

I have lived on this road for nine years.

Dear Pig Man,

We know what you did. Oink, oink.

Never forget,
