I don’t want to count the proverbial chickens, but it looks like Buffalo has done some good. It has been recently announced that in June, our lovely little community will hold the first annual Buffalo Guitar Festival. Not only does the festival itself sound like it will do wonders for fans and musicians alike, but guitar-God Eric Clapton will be the headliner. Unfortunately, details are few and far between, but guitar-God Eric Clapton will be the headliner. Unfortunately, details are few and far between, but some of the major specifics have been made public. The festival will last for four days and will most likely take place in the downtown area. Clapton’s performance is scheduled for June 15, with the HSBC Arena as the likely venue. The festival will include concerts and possibly workshops and meetings as well. This information coincides with Clapton’s recently released European tour itinerary, which will keep him across the pond from February until April of next year. His latest work was Riding With the King, an album with blues legend B.B. King. His most recent solo album was 1998’s Pilgrim.
