Otherwise known as Dr. Dre, he was the natural pick for this award. His work on his own Chronic: 2001 and Eminem's Marshall Mathers LP are two more accomplishments that prove Dre is mastermind of the studios. The man made Snoop sound respectable! Give him the Nobel Prize. Seriously though, Eminem wouldn't have come close to being nominated for the year's best album without Dre's unmatched ear for hooks and grooves. Chronic: 2001 has been honored by more critics than the original Chronic. The man knows how to construct a song and build a solid album. Here is a complete list for which Dre got the honors, featuring song/album title and performing artists in parentheses: "Bitch Please II" (Eminem Featuring Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Xzibit & Nate Dogg), "Chin Check" (N.W.A.), "Dr. Dre 2001" (Dr. Dre), "Hello" (Ice Cube Featuring Dr. Dre & MC Ren), "I'm Back" (Eminem),"Kill You" (Eminem), "The Real Slim Shady" (Eminem), "Remember Me?" (Eminem Featuring RBX And Sticky Fingaz), "Who Knew" (Eminem). (By Scott Frauenhofer)
