Law and Morality - PHI 239 #418526 Law & Responsability- PHI 340 #474068 What comes to mind when envisioning a good class? An intelligent teacher? Engaging discussion? Well-presented material? If any of these traits sound good to you, then consider signing up for a Philosophy course with Professor Brady. Professor Brady teaches mainly legal philosophy, which covers a range of interesting courses--Law and Morality, Law and Responsibility, and Philosophy of Law, for example. The courses utilize the writing of some of history's greatest legal theorists, assigned at an appropriate pace--not so fast that students are forced to move on without comprehending a topic, but not slow, either. In the hands of a less capable instructor, some of the subjects discussed could get confusing. However, Professor Brady has a knack for making things crystal-clear. Questions are encouraged in class, and they are always answered completely. A warning to less serious students--while it is very possible to succeed, these courses are not an easy "A." The readings, while not overwhelming, are important, and attendance to class is absolutely necessary. The thing that sets Professor Brady apart from others is that he makes you want to attend class and learn. If you're a Philosophy or Legal Studies major, or even if you're just looking for an interesting course to take, I would strongly recommend signing up for one of Professor Brady's courses. It's a great opportunity.
