What makes Generation stand out from other student publications?
Aside from the originality and creativity that place Generation far above other UB publications, Generation Magazine is also the largest student-run magazine on the East Coast of the U.S.
How many magazines are circulated each week?
8,000 magazines are in circulation each week on both UB campuses, local schools, and throughout the city of Buffalo.
On average, how many people would you say your magazine reaches each week?
The University did a study recently that showed that each copy of Generation Magazine has an average 2.5 person pass on rate, meaning an average of 2 ½ people read each issue! That gives us an average reader base of about 20,000 people.
Why should I advertise with Generation rather than a competing publication like The Spectrum?
Unlike The Spectrum, Generation is distributed outside of the UB campus, in the local neighborhoods, which increases reader base. In addition, Generation’s advertising rates are much less expensive. Generation has a higher pass-on rate per reader. Finally, when you advertise with Generation, you are supporting a truly student publication. Unlike The Spectrum, Generation is totally student owned and operated.
How can I advertise in Generation?
Call the office at (716) 645-6131 and ask for Jeremy from the Advertising Department. Or, send an e-mail to jpklock@buffalo.eduu.
How can I become a part of the Generation team?
Call the same number above, (716) 645-6131, and ask for Andrew Blake, Editor-in-Chief.
