AIDS Coalition
Our programs and services are designed to raise awareness about issues of HIV/AIDS and how they impact the University community. We sponsor large-scale events such as the World AIDS Day celebration, and offer interactive workshops about HIV/AIDS. The AIDS Coalition also acts a referral service for individuals who have questions about HIV and AIDS, linking people with community agencies and resources.
We offer:
HIV Testing Services
Rapid HIV Testing is available through Student Health Services (SHS). Results are usually available within 15 - 20 minutes. See our FAQ for more information about HIV Rapid Testing, or contact SHS at 829-3316 to schedule an appointment.
HIV Testing is also available as part of comprehensive screening for sexually transmitted infections (STI). Student Health Services has partnered with the Erie County Department of Health to offer discounted STI testing to registered UB students. The cost is $10, which is billed directly to the students account. Test results are typically received in 2 to 4 weeks. Please call 829-3316 to schedule an appointment to meet with a health care provider & determine which tests are recommended for you.
Think you can tell if we have HIV?
